An afternoon with the beekeeper
To learn about the extraordinary life of bees, visit a hive live and make a splendid candle to take home.
Sunday 4 August 2024 from 16:30 to 19:00With the beekeeper Guido Rossi from Civitella Alfedena, owner of the small zero km farm Le Fate dei Fiori, beekeeping and honey sensory analysis expert, we will learn about the perfect organization of a family of bees, the roles that each one takes on during the its life, what the honey they produce is used for and how we go about producing it for us, we will discover the life of the queen bee and the males, the drones, we will visit a live hive in complete safety and we will make a small candle with our own hands to take home as a reminder of the afternoon spent together.
WHEN: From July 1st to September 1st: Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday
FOR WHOM: adults and families with children 4+
DURATION: 2 and a half hours, from 4.30 pm to 7.00 pm
