Volunteers for Nature
Voluntary work at the Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise National Park is a project, whose aim is to offer people a unique life and work experience in an intact natural environment. This will give people the chance to reflect and become aware of those individual and social behaviours that place man in the right place within nature.
A year's voluntary work in numbers:- About 1000 volunteers working in the Park
- 70 cleaning days: 1000 kg of litter collected
- 300 check and protection actions in the Park's most vulnerable places
- Over 100 days dedicated to Park services
- 50 meetings on environmental education
- Over 500 inspection hikes
- 365 days of protection activities and overnights in the Park huts
- Over 100 hikes to support trail marking operators
